For the year ending April, Tauranga residential property values went up 0.6 per cent compared with 9.5 percent in the Auckland region. Hamilton was up 2.7 percent, Wellington up 7.1 percent, Dunedin up 7.5 percent, and Christchurch was up 6.9 percent for the same period.
