298 BOP Sales In May 2010

Statistics for property sales in the Bay of Plenty reveal a total of 298 sales. The months of January to May 2010 (inclusive) were at a 10% lower level of sales when compared to January to May 2009.

The medium house price for Waikato / Bay of Plenty in May was $307,000 down 1.6% on the May 2009 medium price. Indications are the market is still slightly in favour of home buyers as opposed to vendors. Overall the Bay of Plenty property market is holding up reasonably well when compared to other areas.
